Have you ever felt hopelessly overwhelmed when you think of your debt? Are you struggling under mounting debt that seems to grow no matter what you do?
You are not alone. Americans are drowning in debt. On average, each household with a credit card carries $8,284 in credit card debt. A 2018 study placed the total U.S. consumer debt at $13.5 trillion. That includes mortgages, auto loans, credit cards and student loans.
At this workshop, certified Financial Education Instructor and Financial Advisor Judith McCoy will teach students to develop a personalized plan to use and implement proven strategies to eliminate debt and achieve financial freedom. Students will identify the correlation between their credit history and their financial reputation. They will develop a basic understanding of what credit history is and how to maintain, build or repair their credit. They will also receive in-depth assessments on how a multitude of factors (i.e. personality type, goals, emotions, etc.) can affect their attitude toward money. Workbooks and handouts will be provided by the instructor.
