Girls in grades 1-8 from all communities are invited to participate in our instructional volleyball league. In this league, girls will learn all age appropriate aspects of the sport of volleyball such as serving, setting, returning, scoring, spiking, and most importantly, good sportsmanship. Players will be grouped together with others from their home campuses (numbers permitting). Grades will play independently, or if necessary combined with nearest grade level. Final team assignments will be made by the Community Education staff. No requests will be taken.
This 6-week instructional league will hold (1) one-hour practice per week, and will have one game each Saturday until the single-elimination tournament where teams are guaranteed at least one game.
Anyone wishing to volunteer to coach a team must submit an online Volunteer Application at least 2 weeks prior to registration deadline. Coaches will be subject to a background check. If chosen the head coach will be allowed one free child’s registration.
