« back to classes page
There is tons to do in near-by Waco. This trip we will start the day off at Homestead Heritage Village for a two-hour guided tour of their shops and see first hand demonstrations by craftsmen in areas such as woodworking, pottery, blacksmithing, weaving and spinning, basket making, broom making, and leatherwork.  You will have the opportunity to purchase items if you wish in the many shops at the village.  We will enjoy lunch at the Homestead Café. Lunch will be on your own with menu items costing between $9-$14.

Then it’s off to visit the Magnolia Market at the Silos,  owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines of the HGTV hit show “Fixer-Upper.” You may also like to visit their newly opened bakery at the Silos for a special treat! After a few hours at the Silos, we’ll hop aboard the chartered bus and head back to Weatherford with lots of great memories!
