Sports leagues for elementary age students.
Young ladies in grades 2-9 in Weatherford and surrounding area are invited to participate in the Community Ed Girls Volleyball League.  Players will play with other girls in their own grade level and campus (grades will not be combined unless there are not enough to form a division by itself.) Returning coaches have the option of continuing to work with their team by gathering player registrations/payments from girls on their team the previous season, and submitting them to the ComEd Office by the Coach’s Team Deadline (listed below).  All other girls wishing to play in the ComEd League may register at any time up until the final registration deadline listed below. These girls will be placed on teams with other girls from their home campus and grade unless there are not enough to make a full team. In that case, players will be combined with another campus also needing players to make a team.  Teams will have one 1-hour practice each week beginning the week prior to the first week of games.  Parents or community members wishing to volunteer to coach a team must apply in the Community Education Office by the Coach’s deadlines listed below.  Coaches are required to attend the preseason Coach’s Meeting and are subject to a background check.  If chosen to coach, lead coaches will be allowed one free player registration.  Games will be played at Tison Middle School.
